Old Casino, San Clemente

This is the old Casino in San Clemente, a seaside landmark in the Southern California city for over 80 years. It is located across the street from the Ole Hanson Beach Club, near North Beach and the train stop. Tucked away from the main road, it's easy to miss if you're heading for the beach. I was intrigued walking by one day, and decided to draw it. The casino's website says "Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, Dorothy Lamour, Cesar Romero and many other Hollywood celebrities enjoyed the big band sounds on our stage and dancing under the stars in the Spanish Village by the Sea." It was built in 1937, modeled after the Casino on Catalina Island.
