Old City Hall, San Clemente

The old city hall of San Clemente stands at 101 El Camino Real. It looks down the main street, Avenida Del Mar, which slopes .8 mile to the Pier and shore. The Spanish/Moorish-designed building was built by Oscar F. Easley in 1929 as the home of the newly established Bank of San Clemente, later the Bank of America. In the 1930s, the building served as the City Hall, containing the judge's office and city jail.
